Dear Kathy,
I am excited to see you when you, uncle and aunty come to Singapore in a few days time. This news is a delightful news for me that you are coming to Singapore from New York for the first time. Let's together have a fun and enjoyable time here in Singapore when you come here.
I have thought of a few places which you will be interested in visiting. Let me tell you more about these locations. The first place in my mind is Chinatown. Chinatown has beautifully restored shophouses, colonial buildings and modern buildings. Chinatown also has religious landmarks of different faiths and there are traditional medicine halls, teahouses and quirky cafe. Adding on to all these you will be able to take a rest from walking and take a relaxing and calm trishaw ride around Chinatown. The last but not the least there is a lively street market where you will be able to bargain and buy souvenirs, fashion apparel and leather goods. I am sure these place interests you as it has both the cultural and modern aspects of Singapore.
The next place which I have thought of is Little India. You can take the peaceful and calm stroll along the most colourful districts in Singapore and walk into the gaily painted shophouses selling traditional Indian apparel, gold bangles, spices and other waves. Not only can you walk into the shophouses, but you can also definitely buy them. Little India has the another popular shopping site known around Singapore. It is Mustafa Center! You definitely will be able to purchase souvenirs at any time of the day. Moreover to satisfy your keen on tasting a few local dishes, you will be able to taste fish head curry which is uniquely prepared Singaporean dish.Hence, I am sure that this will be the second location on your list to visit as this satisfy your interests.
The next location is the Singapore Flyer. This is one of Singapore landmarks. This is a huge observation wheel where you will be able to view the beautiful panoramic view of Singapore and its iconic landmarks like Marina Bay, Merlion Park and Empress Place. Adding on to the panoramic view of Singapore you can dine in style in the Singapore Flyer. It also has a Real Flight Simulator where you can take the role of a pilot. These place covers your interest in the modern aspects of Singapore and at the same time allow you to enjoy the view of Singapore.
The following location is the Marina Bay Sands. This is located beside the Singapore Flyer. The structure of this building look like a boat is on top of three buildings. This is also one of Singapore's landmarks. This allows you to enjoy the beautiful view of Singapore. You might be thinking that Singapore Flyer and this sounds alike but not really Singapore flyer only allows you to enjoy the view for a limited time but this allows you to enjoy for an unlimited time for just $20. I am sure this interests you as well with the modern aspect of Singapore and the cheap cost.
I forgot to mention something. This is defiantly going to make your stomach grumble. You can enjoy a wide range of Singapore's local dishes under one roof at Food Glorious Food! You will be able to dine on laksa, mee siam, rojak, Hainanese Chicken rice, chilli crab, oyster omelette, satay, nasi lemak. This is only a few there are many more dishes available there.
I hope that all these places sound interesting to you covering your interests and being located close to the hotel you would be staying in Orchard Road. I am really in unbearable excitement to see you. See you soon when you, uncle and aunty when you come to Singapore. Take care of your health.
With love,
Khrisha

Creative Writing Task 5(Khrisha)
Dear Kathy,
There is nothing to write about except that sun shining dimly outside the windows. The brightness of the light bulbs covers the rays of the sun as though if there was no sun. The sun seems to be hiding behind something blocking its rays. The dimly shining sun gives me the feeling of an evening when it is just one in the afternoon. This is as though the sun's playing hide-and-seek along with me.
Everything at home is boring except me cleaning my messy cupboard. As the doors, open everything falls out from the huge pile. It was as though there was a flood of clothes and the books that were brownish in color with some brown spots. I random folded the clothes picking it one by one trying to fold it. I stuffed all my clothes which were folded messily. I picked up the old book when I saw specks of dust flying in the air. Arranging the book in the cupboard I felt proud for cleaning the messy junk.
I haven't been doing much except participating in the discus competition and getting fourth place. I never expected people to be worse than me. Throwing that round green colored object that was heavy for others but not for me. My first throw the best throw. It flew all the way to the end of the sandy ground. The next few was horrible not managing to cross half of the brown ground. Some of the following throws by others overtook mine, but I wasn't even caring about it as my confidence level was very low. When all the throws were over and I realised I got fourth place made me smile the whole day.
I hope that you will tell me more about your interesting life soon to make me escape from my boredom.
Your friend,
Khrisha

Creative Writing Task 4(Khrisha)
After a night of howling weather, I went out early just to see the fallen trees lying on the floor without even one standing and all the yards brown without a single grass left after the violent black storm.
The green yards glittered with tiny droplets of water on the short green grass. The trees stood towering above me as tall as before with its majestic looks.
The songs sang by the birds filled my ears as they stood firmly on the branches of the trees. The voices of chatter sounded as I strolled along the path filled with tiny little puddles reflecting my face as I walk by. The doors opening and showing the scene inside was seen. The curtains gathered at the sides as tiny little eyes of the children peeked out. The sounds of the horns honking started echoing across the streets. The black smoke from the burning of fires gathered around the chimneys. The sun reflected its yellow rays across the streets. The dogs barked in hunger as the fur was like stick showing its peach skin as the rain drenched the dogs. The sound of shrieking alarms were heard all around the place. The smell of fresh air entered my nostrils giving me a calm and peaceful feeling making my heart relax. The droplets dripped down my body here and there as I walked past.
The silent trees gave me a feeling of me like a culprit roaming around for treasure.

Science Fiction Story Alternative Assessment
The "Help box" laid before them with paper drooling from the sides. The group of scientists Andy, Joshua and John, set up the "Help box" outside their laboratory for the people to drop their requests to solve their problems. Seeing the box overflowing, they told themselves,"There is nothing to worry, the village is alright,". John, the leader of the group, stepped forward and rooted himself to the ground and started reading the letters one by one. Time flew by; he had finished reading. With a hesitant voice, he announced that all the letters were with the same request.
Clinching one of the letters, they rushed to the laboratory. As they entered, the light started brightening up the glaring their eyes for a moment. The smell of the chemicals entered their nostrils as it filled the room. The sound of their steps echoed through the whole room. They settled around a round table and read the problem aloud again for ideas. "The rats are eating our plants our harvesting is disturbed by those. Please find a way to control them," one of the villagers had written. Instantly the started their research. Tapping on the keyboard and flipping the pages. In hours, they found out a way to control them. They began on their work. Joshua began working on the machine; Andy started creating the chemicals needed and John the daring went out to look for three rats. Finally after hours work, the material was ready. Slowly and carefully, John the brave one installed the machine in the rats to control them and Andy injected the chemical that was able to kill the other bitten rats.
They dashed to one of the farmer's fields to try the solution out. They let the rats out and made them bite the other rats. Everyone's faces were downcasted. The bitten rats were alive! Instead of the rats lying dead, the rats which were bitten continued their journey and went on biting the other rats and the humans around. Within minutes, the whole village was infected with a mysterious disease. Soon the cause was also found, the chemical reaction between the chemical injected and the rat's body caused the creation of the mysterious disease. The virus caused everyone infected to be infected to be paralysed. To put an end to the problem the scientists, with loud stomps reached their lab and the sound of test-tubes banging into each other could be heard. The sound of papers flipping was heard around the laboratory. The solution was found! A radioactive weapon was created by the scientists was able to kill the rats as well as cure the disease.
They dashed to the village and activated their weapon. Soon after the weapon was used, people's joyous screams could be heard, and the decaying smell of the rats polluted the place. At every inch, lay a dead rat. The villages cleared the mess with the sighs of relief. The faces of the people in the village and the group of scientists enlightened with a gradient smile like a painter's new stroke of paint.
In days, the smell of healthy plants could be smelt with the sight of an enormous building with the words, "Science laboratory" with the settlement of the rat killers inside.

Creative Writing Task 3
When I was a child, I well remember the time when I stole a chocolate. My baby cousin and I were in the house with my mother and aunt. Suddenly, when my baby cousin got hungry, she started shouting and screaming that echoed across the whole house. Instantly my mother went to the kitchen and came back along with my favourite chocolate. She handed to my baby cousin and went into the kitchen to help my aunt. My baby cousin was about to bite the chocolate when I grabbed and ate it. She started sobbing immediately. Hearing her cries, my mother came out and realised that I ate the chocolate as there was a chocolate stain on my shirt. Seeing her angry face, I started trembling thinking about the punishment. I begged her not to send me to bed hugging her. Unfortunately, I was given the punishment.
Dragging my feet as slowly as possible I climbed the staircase to my room. I opened the door slowly. My room which always used to be messy was still like that. To kill time slowly, I cleaned the room. Unfortunately, I finished cleaning and had no choice but to go to bed. The room was quiet. The sound of children playing could be heard. The chirps of the birds and the people working could be heard.
In the middle of the night, I gained a bit of consciousness. All of a sudden I felt a watery substance on my hand. It felt tickly and comfortable. I did not want it to stop and I remained in my drowsiness.
The next morning the sun rose. I was there on my bed in deep thoughts who or what the thing that felt watery on my hand. Still till today, I do not know what it was.

Creative Writing Task 2
The park lay before her. With the dimmest street light for the whole park, the bushes formed shadows that formed scary figures. The fallen brown leaves crickeled and crackled. There was a pin-drop silence with the leaves occasionally swaying when the wind blew. "This is perfectly fine, nothing will happen," Jane said to herself.
Just at the moment, Jane thought something crossed the path behind her. The sound of the leaves crickling was heard behind her. As she turned to confront herself, only the sight of the empty path could be seen. Turning around, she stared at the long path that led her to help. Encouragingly she told herself,"It's alright, there is totally nothing here,".

One of my earliest memories is about my grandfather. He had glittering white hair here and there. He wore a white shirt and a black pant like in a black and white film. In his hand, a gold watch sparkled in the sunlight. In a soft tone, he consoles me when I sob to go to school. With a firm grip of my hand, he brings me to the shop nearby and buys me a treat which is chocolate, walking me to school with a huge smile.
A place that I used to play is the playground under my block. Children always pushing each other to play on the narrow, curvy yellow tube. The slide always populated by children made the other slide deserted. The orange coloured straight and long slide was the favourite for me. Even though it was not smooth, with many breaks in between it was always an enjoyable ride.
The huge wide corridor led to the small garden and the house. Being spacious, it was suitable for games. As passing by to the end of the pathway the smell of peanuts and old unwanted things enter my nostrils. With a thick dark brown wooden door, the room where peanuts and the old things were kept covered.
These were all my earliest memories.
